Pushing Boundaries With AI

There’s a lot going on at Parti.

That’s why we created the Parti Highlight, a series that illuminates the best of what we do.

Our last highlight featured The Infinite Dude, who used AI to reflect on the implications of masking children.

It’s time we revisit some of the most controversial works of Parti.

Come and see.

While it's easy to get wrapped up in our day-to-day lives, it's important to remember that there are much bigger problems in the world that we often overlook.

Many of us are blind to the catastrophes that wreak havoc on our society, despite the toll it takes on all of us.

It's not that we don't see them or know about these problems – we ignore them. Why is this? Maybe we have become desensitized to them. Maybe we see the victims as a faceless mass, rather than individuals with their own stories, hopes, and dreams.

Could it be that we cannot see the demise of our society because it is slow and gradual?

Political violence and fentanyl overdoses are on the rise in America. It doesn’t matter whether you live in a city or suburbia - lower or upper class - you and your family are under attack.

What solutions are there? What are our politicians doing about this? Consider your answer, or lack thereof, evidence of our leadership’s failures.

So what are we to do? How do we bring change?

In a world that often seems stagnant, it can be easy to feel like change is impossible. But sometimes, it takes going to extremes to see real change occur. When we push ourselves, and our ideas, to the limits, we open up the possibility for true progress.

The solutions to our problems exist at the fringe of our society’s moral and ethical boundaries.

Bryan, founder of Parti, explores these boundaries.

Here’s a provocative deepfake video he created to shine light on the politically-charged murder of a North Dakotan teen, a Republican who was run over by a Democrat.

“I'm on a mission to solve a problem”, he says. “What would Elon do to stop nuclear war? What would I do to stop more Republicans from being murdered for being Republican?”.

With over 550K views, his video grabbed the attention of hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world.

“What would I do to stop 50,000 more people from dying next year from fentanyl poisoning carried out by Mexican Cartels with precursors from manufacturers in China?”.

He knew he’d be met with animosity.

It’s not everyday a voice is given to the dead. It hits different when the deceased stranger is given a voice and a face, doesn’t it?

“It's provocative art on purpose. If people are upset, it's because their attention went where I wanted it to go. It's confirmation I'm good at what I do and that I will succeed”.

Shortly after these videos were published, 18 Attorney General’s signed a bipartisan letter urging Biden to classify fentanyl as a weapon of mass destruction, and Governor Abbott issued an executive order that would designate Mexico’s cartels as terrorists.

Don't be afraid to go out on a limb.

Explore those boundaries.

That’s where change happens.

See you at the Parti.
